WE LOVE THIS LAND AND WE LOVE SHARING IT.
There’s just something about these glorious coastal redwoods. Their strength, power, and beauty overwhelm you in the best of ways. They have witnessed so much in the hundreds of years they have stood still on this mountain. Stand beneath them and feel their presence.
We are lucky enough to get to be stewards of this land and these trees for what amounts to be just a blip in their ancient lives, and we want you to be a part of their story.
Originally founded by a group of Stanford professors in the 1960’s for non-profit work, Waterfall Lodge & Retreat is today considered a jewel of the Santa Cruz mountains. Surrounded by massive redwoods, sparkling ambient lights, a year-round waterfall and the freshest air, there is a certain peace, calm, and privacy that will leave you feeling refreshed and full of joy.
The lodge was built from reclaimed 19th century barn wood from Wisconsin along with redwood from downed trees milled onsite. Paired with 1850’s metal work from Eastern Europe and an 1820’s carved wood door from France, the lodge is both grand and comfortable.
Inside the lodge are massive beams, large metal lanterns, leaded glass french doors and warm ambient lighting.

A SEA OF TRAVERTINE
The Lodge also features two large bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a kitchen. The modern kitchen is equipped with all of the amenities necessary to host an impressive event. Outside the Lodge, the grounds are engulfed in a sea of travertine stone, perfect for table and seating arrangements.
The recommended capacity at Waterfall Lodge is 125 guests, with a maximum capacity of 150 guests.
Some of the most memorable multi-day events are those in which everyone invited stays onsite. Our overnight capacity is 86 people spread out over 32 cabins and 2 lodge bedrooms.
